RUKU Bars are energy bars formulated for precise canine energy replenishment. RYŌKEN INSTINCT believes in an organic diet as close to what our dog ancestors thrived on. We use only whole whole food ingredients and absolutely NO preservatives. RUKU BARS are made of a meat and organ based blend supplemented with canine superfoods for added nutritional benefit. Each recipe was thoughtfully crafted following the guidelines set by AAFCO and is USDA certified.

Why is it called a RUKU BAR?

The inspiration of all of RYŌKEN INSTINCT is my dog - Miruku, the cream shiba. The bars gets it's name as small tribute to my best friend.

What is the shelf life of a RUKU BAR?

RUKU BARS are made with all natural ingredients and contain zero preservatives, so our treats will have a shelf-life of 8 months if stored in a cool, dry place.

Are RUKU BARS lab tested?

Yes! RUKU BARS are lab-tested by an AAFCO accredited lab, you can find the guaranteed analysis on the labels and the product page.

Are RUKU BARS grain free?

Yes, RUKU BARS are grain free. 

Are RUKU BARS organic?

RUKU BARS are 100% organic. They contain absolutely no preservatives, fillers or salt. Meats are grass-fed and finished and fish are sustainable and wild-caught. All fruits used are Non-GMO and organic with no artificial flavors.

When should you feed RUKU BARS?

RUKU BARS are a convenient high-value snack for active dogs. Bring along on a hike for a mid trail energy boost or to practice recall. On longer days, feed as an On-The-Go meal replacement bar. Bring them backpacking for a portable way to feed whole food. Breakaway pre-scored pieces allow for easy use as super high value training treats.

What makes a RUKU BAR special?

RUKU BARS are thoughtfully crafted for the demanding energy needs of any adventure seeker’s canine companions from organic fat and protein sources. In addition, RUKU BARS are air dried at low temperatures for extended times to lock in peak quality and lasting shelf life. RUKU BARS have little moisture content to prevent perishability issues and prolong freshness.


Where do you ship?

We currently only ship to the USA and Canada.

How long does it take to process an order?

Please allow 3-6 BUSINESS days for your order to be processed before shipping. We make every effort to fulfill orders as soon as possible.

Apparel ships from a separate warehouse and will take 7-9 BUSINESS days to be fulfilled before shipping to you.

How much is shipping?

Shipping rates on orders below $75 will be calculated through USPS and will range anywhere from $4.50-15 depending on where you're located and the weight of your package. Free shipping for orders $75 (excluding apparel) and up!

How do I track my order?

Once your order ships, you'll recieve an email with the shipping and tracking information. Using the tracking number provided, you can track your order by visiting the carrier's website. 


Once the package has been shipped out, it is out of our control. We are not responsible packages returned to us for incorrect addresses or lost/stolen packages. These will not be replaced. 

Canadian customers will be responsible for paying any taxes, duties and customs fees.


Can I return or exchange an item?

Unfortunately, given the nature of our products we do not accept returns as these products are made to order. However, in the rare event that your order arrives defective, please take photos of the product in question and email our customer service via info@ryokeninstinct.com with the details. We’ll take care of you!
